Names & Nomenclature — Triphala, sold as Triphala and declared on the label as Triphala, is a classic Ayurvedic blend of three fruits — Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) and Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) of the family Combretaceae, and Amalaki (Phyllanthus emblica) of the family Phyllanthaceae — and so has no single botanical binomial; in Ayurveda it is the Sanskrit Triphalā, meaning "three fruits" (Hindi Triphala); it has no classical Traditional Chinese Medicine name; in German, Spanish, and French it is known simply as Triphala; and its common English names include triphala and the three-fruit blend.

Natural Botanical Variations & Product Photography

AMA Remedies™ is a small, family-owned herbal business. We responsibly and thoughtfully source and hand-pack our botanicals in small batches.

PRODUCT IMAGES ARE REPRESENTATIVE. Actual herbs, roots, flowers, bark, seeds, and other botanical materials may vary in color, shade, size, texture, appearance, and processing cut depending on harvest, supplier, and available inventory.

Unless a particular form is explicitly guaranteed in the written description, your product may arrive whole, sliced, chopped, diced, cut and sifted, shredded, or in various piece sizes. Where a specific form, such as powder, whole root, or sliced root, is expressly stated as a product specification, that specification will be honored.

RETURNS & REFUNDS: We review requests individually. We generally do not accept returns or issue refunds solely because a correctly described botanical differs from a representative photograph in natural color, texture, or unspecified cut size.

This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged, incorrect, materially different from its description, or is otherwise eligible for a remedy under applicable law or marketplace policies.

All discretionary return requests must be submitted within five (5) calendar days of confirmed delivery. Return requests are evaluated individually and are not automatically approved. To qualify for consideration, items must be unopened, unused, unaltered, and in their original sealed packaging. Approved returns must be shipped within ten (10) calendar days of written return authorization. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on discretionary returns unless otherwise agreed.
