Names & Nomenclature — He Huan Pi, sold as He Huan Pi (Mimosa Bark) and declared on the label as He Huan Pi / Mimosa Bark (Albizia julibrissin), is the bark of the same tree, botanically Albizia julibrissin Durazz. of the family Fabaceae (the legume family); the bark is known pharmacopeially as Albiziae cortex; in Traditional Chinese Medicine it is 合欢皮 (hé huān pí), while in Ayurveda the related Albizia lebbeck is Śirīṣa; in German it is Seidenbaumrinde, in Spanish corteza de albizia, and in French écorce d'albizia; and its common English names include mimosa bark, silk tree bark, and he huan pi.
