Known in Chinese as gan cao, the sweet herb, Chinese licorice is among the most frequently used plants in all of East Asian herbalism.

Names & Nomenclature — Chinese Licorice, sold as Chinese Licorice and declared on the label as Chinese Licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis), is botanically Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. ex DC. of the family Fabaceae (the legume family); its root is known pharmacopeially as Liquiritiae radix (Glycyrrhizae radix); in Traditional Chinese Medicine it is 甘草 (gān cǎo), and in Ayurveda licorice is the Sanskrit Yaṣṭīmadhu or Madhuka (Hindi Mulethi); in German it is Chinesisches Süßholz or Ural-Süßholz, in Spanish regaliz chino or orozuz, and in French réglisse de Chine or réglisse de l'Oural; and its common English names include Chinese licorice, Ural licorice, and gancao.

Approved returns must be shipped within ten (10) calendar days of written return authorization. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on discretionary returns unless otherwise agreed.
