Perilla, known in Japan as shiso, is a fragrant member of the mint family whose ruffled purple and green leaves are a fixture of East Asian kitchens.

Names & Nomenclature — Perilla Leaf, sold as Zi Su Ye (Perilla Leaf) and declared on the label as Zi Su Ye / Perilla Leaf (Perilla frutescens), is the leaf of perilla, botanically Perilla frutescens (L.) Britton of the family Lamiaceae (the mint family); it is known pharmacopeially as Perillae folium; in Traditional Chinese Medicine it is 紫苏叶 (zǐ sū yè), and it has no classical Ayurvedic name; in German it is Perillablatt or Shiso, in Spanish hoja de perilla or shiso, and in French feuille de pérille or shiso; and its common English names include perilla leaf, shiso, beefsteak plant leaf, and zi su ye.

Approved returns must be shipped within ten (10) calendar days of written return authorization. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on discretionary returns unless otherwise agreed.
