Milky Oat Tops Tincture (Avena sativa) — a small-batch liquid herbal 1:5 extract, handcrafted by AMA Remedies.
AKA: Milky Oats, Green Oat Tops, Oat Seed, Avena.
Pale gold. Sweet, grassy, faintly milky. The gentlest bottle on the shelf.
Oats, picked early. For about a week each summer the seed heads of the common oat fill with a white, milky sap before the grain hardens — and that is when these are gathered. Western herbalists have reached for oat tops for generations as the herb for the long haul, the one you take every day for weeks rather than once for an afternoon. It tastes like a field in June: green, soft, a little sweet.
Made at a 1:5 herb-to-solvent ratio — one part dried oat tops to five parts extraction liquid — and steeped four to six weeks at room temperature before pressing.
Ingredients: Organic milky oat tops (Avena sativa), grain alcohol, distilled water. Approximately 50% alcohol by volume.
Suggested use: Shake well before use. Adults: 2 mL (about 40–50 drops) in water, up to three times daily. Best taken daily over several weeks. Follow the directions and precautions on your product label.
