Names & Nomenclature — Ashwagandha, sold as Ashwagandha Root and declared on the label as Ashwagandha root (Withania somnifera), is botanically Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal — scientific synonyms Physalis somnifera L. and Physalis flexuosa L. — of the family Solanaceae (the nightshade family); its Latin pharmacopeial name is Withaniae radix; it has no classical Traditional Chinese Medicine name (in modern Chinese it is written 睡茄, shuì qié); in Ayurveda it is the Sanskrit अश्वगन्धा (Aśvagandhā), also called Varāhakarṇī and Balyā; in German it is Schlafbeere or Winterkirsche, in Spanish bufera, oroval, or ginseng indio, and in French ashwagandha or ginseng indien; and its common English names include Indian ginseng, winter cherry, and poison gooseberry.

All discretionary return requests must be submitted within five (5) calendar days of confirmed delivery. Return requests are evaluated individually and are not automatically approved. To qualify for consideration, items must be unopened, unused, unaltered, and in their original sealed packaging. Approved returns must be shipped within ten (10) calendar days of written return authorization. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on discretionary returns unless otherwise agreed.
