Names & Nomenclature — Asafoetida, sold as Asafoetida and declared on the label as Asafoetida (Ferula assa-foetida), is botanically Ferula assa-foetida L. of the family Apiaceae (the carrot family); its gum-resin is known pharmacopeially as asa foetida (gummi-resina asae foetidae); in Traditional Chinese Medicine it is 阿魏 (ā wèi), and in Ayurveda the Sanskrit Hiṅgu (Hindi Hing); in German it is Asant, Stinkasant, or Teufelsdreck, in Spanish asafétida, and in French asafœtida or férule persique; and its common English names include asafetida, devil's dung, hing, and food of the gods.

Approved returns must be shipped within ten (10) calendar days of written return authorization. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on discretionary returns unless otherwise agreed.
